a short film, inspired by lotte reiniger, about a city built underground (inspired by islais creek) because of war and destruction. People have then moved within the earth. I'm considering 'earth dwellers' past and present... thinking about settlements like the Anasazi cliff dwellers to a revival in earth living, eco-homes that are built, partially underground.
I want to present a utopian picture of islais creek. Influenced by earth dwellings, subterranean homes, an 'eco-concious' idea of working with a landscape as opposed to against it.
